All About Theta

Zeta Nu Facts:

  • We have been a chapter at UCD since 1992.
  • We have 86 members with a diverse range of majors and campus involvement, and have continually achieved the highest GPA of all Panhellennic sororities at UC Davis!
  • We participate in many philanthropic events and were recently awarded the Community Involvement Award at Panhellennic Awards Night
  • We love to have fun! We have a Fall and Spring formal, Winter theme dance, events with other fraternities and sororities, and always a Theta to call so we are never without something fun to do on the weekends!
  • We have the biggest sorority house at UC Davis housing 33 women and a house mom.
  • We have a wonderful house mom, who is a great source of guidance, and also a chef who cooks us a delicious dinner every night!
  • Our house is located just steps from campus, across the street from the ARC, next to the rec pool, and a three minute walk from the University Mall.

  • We have 124 chapters at colleges and universities across the US, Canada,and England, with over 167,000 initiated members.
  • Theta is an international organization with college and alumnae chapters throughout the United States and Canada.
  • The Fraternity is a not-for-profit Indiana corporation, with headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • The first women admitted to Phi Beta Kappa honor Fraternity were Thetas.
  • The first women's fraternity to establish a chapter in Canada was Kappa Alpha Theta.
  • The Fraternity's philanthropic arm, the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, supports the Fraternity's educational programs and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

  • Fraternity Purpose: The intellectual ambition of the Fraternity shall be the attainment of highest scholarship. The social aim of the Fraternity shall be to exercise the widest influence for good. The moral aim of the Fraternity shall be the standard of love.
    Mission Statement: Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, Kappa Alpha Theta exists to nurture each member throughout her college and alumnae experience and to offer a lifelong opportunity for social, intellectual and moral growth as she meets the higher and broader demands of mature life.
